We recently posted an update to our website talking about our Expanding Linehaul Network. While the first two quarters of 2019 have been a little softer than the same quarters in 2018, industry insights and steady business led us to believe it was time to boost our network. Put simply, we are trying to lower the costs of our customers by making Easley Transportation a one-stop shop.

How Does Linehaul Expansion Help You?

Don’t you love it when a new highway is built that allows you to move between two points much faster than you used to? As someone who travels between TN and MS quite a bit, the opening of Interstate 269 about a year ago was a life changer. It cuts about half an hour off of my trip between Southaven, MS and Millington, TN. Not to mention, there’s just something satisfying about traveling on a relatively freshly-paved road.

In the same way, we have expanded our linehaul network to try and connect us to our customers in a much faster and cost-effective way. Because of these changes, we are able to consolidate freight and move it between terminals next-day. To put it in perspective, check out this list of our serviceable destinations:

  • Chicago, IL (ORD)
  • Huntsville, AL (HSV)
  • Atlanta, GA (ATL)
  • Birmingham, AL (BHM)
  • Memphis, TN (MEM)
  • Montgomery, AL (MGM)
  • Knoxville, TN (TYS)
  • Mobile, AL (MOB)
  • Chattanooga, TN (CHA)
  • Pensacola, FL (PNS)
  • Nashville, TN (BNA)
  • Miami, FL (MIA)
  • Charlotte, NC (CLT)

I won’t speak for your freight, but I have a feeling that it would love to travel on these “freshly-paved” network lines.
